The Village Men’s Chorus has the proud distinction of being the longest, continuous running musical organization in Hot Springs Village. Providing an opportunity for men of all ages to sing a wide variety of choral literature for over forty years; the nearly 50 member Village Men’s Chorus is open to Village residents and others in the surrounding area.
This is a non-auditioned chorus; however, the ability to sing to pitch is desirable from prospective members. Prior choral singing experience and the ability to read music is desirable. School choirs, church choirs, community choirs are great background experiences for this group. Men who enjoy singing in parts in a congenial and relaxed atmosphere are encouraged to join us.
Our season runs from early September to mid-May. Rehearsals are Wednesday’s from 8:45-10:30 at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church, 700 Balearic Rd. in Hot Springs Village. The group prepares two programs each year, one in December and the other in April or May. Other performances are scheduled in between, usually leading up to our formal programs. The Men also sing for Community and church functions both in and outside of Hot Springs Village.
Director of the Village Chorus is Jim Kelly and accompanist is Earl Wilde. The Village Men’s Chorus is a member of the Hot Springs Village Arts Council.
